This coming Saturday (29th May) I will be attending the 6th annual London Zine Symposium – a place where people interested in zines, small press publications and radical art culture can come together to share ideas and buy as well as sell their own zines.
This years’ symposium is being held @ The Rag Factory, Heneage Street just off of Brick Lane, and runs from 12 – 6 pm with free admission.
This year there will be over 60 different stalls, ranging from individuals to small press collectives to groups of art students, offering something for everyone, with zines that range from 50p upwards.
Really excited to get some inspiration especially at such affordable prices, if you are in the area, it is definitely worth a look!
Had a really enjoyable day at the Zine Symposium – even though the weather was poor, the stalls inside the Rag Factory were still jam packed which made for a good atmosphere. I only picked up a couple of zines even though the selection was huge, I was too spoilt for choice.
I am really pleased with the couple I did purchase though, both of which display oh so cute illustrations alongside poetry and satire.
My only regret? Not trying some of the delicious looking cakes on display; maybe next year 🙂
P.S Scott also bought some nifty zines, so check out his blog to see those in due course 🙂
